The tl;dr all boils down to: it depends. If it’s the only thing you can imagine yourself doing with your life–then it’s a worthwhile investment of time & effort. If you think you’d be happy doing anything else with your life–don’t go to med school.
Going into medicine for the big doctor bucks? Don’t. The ROI just isn’t there.
