Is CC Parent Cafe becoming boring?

I am reduced to hawking out DS
Or
Prequalifing your DDs.

I miss the politics thread , though I wasn’t a regular poster. I learned a lot and found great perspectives from people who were often times directly affected by certain topics. I didn’t care for the name calling and insults , but there was some interesting reading if you could weed through all of that

Send a PM to samurailandshark about the spin-off political forum. I never participated in the political forum. That wasn’t my interest here. I agree with what frazzled1 posted above.

Come again? I don’t observe any male-bashing on this thread. However, your post #19 comes across as female-bashing.

Where do you see male bashing here? I see some who are commenting about the Political Forum, but that is not male bashing considering both males and females participated there.

PS…I forgot to add: !!!

I am not sure about the male bashing part, but otherwise I agree with Schmaltz.

I have an idea: Let’s create a male-only posters board, where they can smoke cigars and scratch themselves.

Guys, instead of complaining, why don’t you start more “male”- themed threads? Or better yet, grab a pair of kettlebells and hop into the Exercise thread. :)

Oops, here we go - !!!

Darn, let me try this again:

I have an idea! Let’s create a male-only posters board, where they can smoke cigars and scratch themselves!!! :D

… or go back to the famous menopause thread… a cafe classic

And fart…

Is it okay if we just bash you?

Whatever happened to the mancave, anyway? !!!

ccpolitical.activeboard.com/forum is the site but it is also boring these days

I sent probably 100 or more invitations - even to moderators. Basically anyone who had been active in the political forums over the course of the previous month, once the forum was closed. I also told people to pass on the address to their friends.

If you want to come and liven things up, that would be great.

DocT put the address in a previous post. If you have questions, pm me.

That pretty much says it all. Pity Schmaltz pointed it out first.

I concur. The more the better. Even ■■■■■■ and troublemakers make things a little more fun. I do miss the verbal combat we had on E&P. You can never convince people to change their minds (for the most part), but that doesn’t stop anyone from trying. There are some subjects more meaty than Glee or Dressing Young, that do attract both men and women.

There used to be a man cave thread on CC…where the men folk (and the honorary men folk) use to gather. Maybe it needs to be resurrected…

This thread is beginning to have that “ode to <<<fill in=”" the=“” blank=“” missing=“” poster=“”>>>" feel to it, only the lament is to the old pol forum. IMO, if something geels boring, then by all means liven it up. And yes, there was a man cave thread a while back. It seems to have faded away. maybe it got… boring.</fill>

Completely disagree with you on this one, Schmaltz! (Note the apostrophe)

I don’t think men want an all-male forum, or one in which everybody agrees. I LIKE talking to women and hearing what they have to say, even if they disagree with me. BUT what seems to ruin a co-ed discussion is when women act like the definition of “totally worthless slime that doesn’t deserve to breathe” is “someone who disagrees with me.”

Also, the ad hominem group attacks on males who dare challenge the female majority dogma seem to fly in the face of the love of diversity and conversation that so many women claim.

It all kind of reminds me of a few decades ago when women whined and protested until virtually every male college went co-ed. But they wanted to keep most of the all-female colleges as single-sex. In other words, if men say this is just for us, women find it insulting, demeaning, childish, and immoral; but fighting for their own colleges or discussion threads, well, that’s noble and courageous. Who can forget the students of Mills College literally screaming in pain and outrage at the thought of having to study alongside men? I think all-female colleges are great, but i also think the desires of men who desire an all-male environment should be respected and they shouldn’t be demonized (even though I would never want to attend an all-male college myself).
