I was accepted to UPenn and ultimately turned it down in favor of University of Michigan. I found that Michigan was a better fit, despite Penn being the “better” school. I have never regretted my decision. It all comes down to your interests and where you think you will best be able to grow and explore during college. Good on you for being self-aware at this stage in the process!
I don’t think so. I don’t have a desire to go to an Ivy or pressure cooker school, and there are so many schools out there that one is sure to be a good fit!

You mean like 86 CEO’s of the Fortune 100 who didn’t attend an Ivy? MSU and Texas tech leading the way. Or the vast majority of med school students who made it there in the “Chevy” you reference? Do you mean suffer these types of consequences?
Re: your car analogy.
I’ve owned a few BWMs too. No one is impressed you have one. They can be a little stiff. And none of them got me to one single destination any faster, safer or with more money in my pocket.
