Is it okay to take less AP Classes if I am doing Community College Courses?

High School classes:
AP Literature
AP Chemistry
AP Physics C
Band
Orchestra
Required Adulting course
Lab Tech for Chem Teacher
College:
Semester 1:
Multi variable Calculus
Semester 2:
Public Speaking (required for the AS degrees I’m working for - dual enrollment)
Linear Algebra

Okay now I’ve found out from my counselors that they cannot put me in AP Literature because it interferes with Orchestra (a class I will never drop). So my plan is to stay in the social justice class and take English 1B at the community college which should be of somewhat similar rigor to AP Literature and not seem like an easy way out. Multivariable Calculus is online for fall so I am planning to delay until spring because I need to be in a classroom to effectively learn calculus.
