IMHO, you are getting a bit too worried about the whole issue.
Right now, with the AP you have, you can be admitted to Central Texas A&M with one year already completed and start as a sophomore. Before entering Junior year, you can look around at other schools you might like to transfer to, should you wish. Central Texas is a solid school, not T20 of course, but solid. It is also unique in being one of the few pure upper-division schools in the US., meaning simple, no stress, straightforward admissions based just on having 30 college credits from your AP. You can use it as a ‘spring-board’ to pretty much wherever you want. Stop stressing, start your tertiary journey without the application essays or any of the usual admission hoopla and relax knowing everything will be fine. Yes, in reality, you have nothing to worry about.
Plus, of course, instead of doing year 12 HS you already would have the equivalent of an associate’s, which is recognised as having a HS diploma:
Of course, if you want to go down that specific path, it is up to you. I am just putting it out there as an option to show there is nothing to worry about. Don’t overthink this, you are already in the ‘box seat’ so to speak.
