<p>definitely check with the school, also for engineering they probably only accept so many students per year. so its better to check sooner than later. if they don’t let you into the engineering faculty, see if you can take general studies in your first year. this means that you are in no faculty but are taking the 1st year engineering courses. this way you can continue with school and then next year apply to the engineering faculty and hopefully get in. Make sure you confirm with the school that they will allow you to do this. also think of applying to several schools. I applied to 6 schools and got into 2. so it shows that its competitive.</p>
