Is it possible to get 750 in SAT Subject Test Math level II?

I used to get 780 in Math Section of SAT reasoning.
How many percent can I get in SAT Subject Test Math level II with the score over 750?

Lots students get 800 in the SAT subject math level 2 test.

Around 15% get 800 in Math2.

The SAT I and SAT II math are completely different. The reasoning test mostly focused on your ability to solve problems using basic algebra/geometry and logic. The Math IIC test is more algebra 2 and critical thinking.

If it gives you any perspective, I took practice tests for both last year. I got to almost perfect quite quickly and easily for the SAT I math, but I found the IIC test much more difficult, thus taking me much longer to achieve ~80% on practice tests. I ended up with 800’s on both in the end, but the IIC is definitely harder and you need to practice.

This seems to be fairly accurate to the actual curve: <a href=“SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides”>SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides;

The content of the Math II test is tougher than that of the SAT Math section; however, difficulty is compensated by a fairly lenient curve. Generally, you can miss up to 5 (maybe 6) and still get an 800. According to the SparkNotes table, missing 10 questions (with the associated -1/4 penalty) or omitting 12 (with 0 incorrect) will get you exactly 750. Nevertheless, aim for an 800 because it is attained by quite a few test takers (to the point that an 800 is in the 83rd percentile).

It is not as easy as it seems, as many talented people take the SAT II Math test every year and you will have to work hard to get it, but if this gives you any perspective: for the math II a 750 is considered 79th percentile, which means approximately 21% of people score a 750 or higher every year

@shawnspencer - It looks like the data has changed since 2007-2008. Here are the updated percentiles from 2013:

A 750 is now considered 64th percentile.

On a side note, that’s actually pretty ridiculous. Although the test statistics are skewed since students taking the test are quite advanced in math to start with, it’s still crazy to think that 50% of the people taking the test get 700+.

The content of math level 2 means that it is only suitable for students who are a year advanced in math (precalculus / trignometry in 11th grade or earlier). So this self-selection of test takers means that it is mainly better-at-math students taking that test.

Whoops, sorry for the old link. Looks like I am living in the past. I guess many things change when you’re living in a relatively small old town called Dual Spires.
