is it really that cold...?

<p>That Minus33 stuff looks good, but would it make a person too warm once they’re inside (in class)?</p>

<p>It’s pretty breathable and wasn’t a problem even in my heated office on campus. Wearing this with a sweater over it, though, was a bit hot.</p>

<p>Regression to the mean only applies to random events, though. It’s entirely possible we’re seeing climate change, so the winter’s will stay mild. Unfortunately.</p>

<p>Forecasting climate is still a stochastic process, even with the introduction of a Bayesian posterior probability distribution indicating a trend. E[Pr(PredictabilityClimateNextWinter|ClimateThisWinter)] ~= 0 due to the drastic volatility (i.e., really flat and wide probability distribution) of year-to-year climate.</p>
