<p>First, I think, out of all the counties, if Wake County was violating that code, someone would have noticed by now. From what I found by searching that policy, it looks like schools have the option of using the standard scale or the augmented scale, so I guess they aren’t doing anything wrong. I know Carteret County uses the augmented scale, but Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools also use the standard scale.
