Is JMU worth it ? IMPORTANT

Hi,

I was also accepted into the business program but want to major in management. I can’t really tell you much because I am out-of-state. Their program is good but could be better, like everyone else. As a public university in America, it isn’t too bad though. If it was, I wouldn’t have applied!

From my visits and talking with others it seems like they really sell their employed students and countless internships. I would say a good internship is something you can count on! Students regularly get paid and unpaid internships which have a record of leading to job offers. Every other school boasts this too, of course. I haven’t actually been a student there so I don’t know how valid these are or if the comparison is substantially in JMU’s favor

They seem to have a decent amount of work-study efforts throughout the campus and there are plenty places for jobs around the campus itself with shopping centers walking distance.

I know the financial burden is a lot. JMU is a one of my top choices and my only out-of-state, so I am struggling to find ways to overlook the price tag. Best wishes in deciding! Maybe I will be in some of your classes!
