It will be a very sad day for New Haven (and Yale) when Mamoun’s, one of the nation’s first Middle Eastern restaurants, which is open until 3AM 365 days per year, finally gets driven out by the skyrocketing rents.

It’s a good thing that posterX exaggerates so much, because the loss of Mamoun’s would be a real tragedy. It’s a great place to get cheap, late-night food, that is far better than the late-night pizza places near campus.</p>
