Is NYU Still Considering MT Applicants for Acting Also, or Just MT?

I am not affiliated with NYU at all, but was curious after reading your question and looked on their website… it says (“When you request your artistic review appointment, you will be asked to select one of the following areas: Acting, Music Theatre, Directing or Technical Production and Design.” – [Drama Department Artistic Review: Tisch School of the Arts at NYU](http://drama.tisch.nyu.edu/object/dr_artistic_review.html))

However, if you click on the the links it eventually clearly states that a candidate who completes a Musical Theatre Artistic Review will be asked if they would like to be considered for non-MT studios.

From the website:

"Please only attend a Music Theatre artistic review if you would like to be considered first for the music theatre arm of the New Studio on Broadway.

Applicants are interviewed immediately following the audition portion of the artistic review. In the interview, candidates will be asked if they would like to be considered for one of the acting studios in addition to the music theatre program at the New Studio on Broadway, given the relatively small number of places for music theatre students at that studio. The answer will not affect the candidate’s eligibility for the New Studio on Broadway and the studio placement decision remains with the Drama Department."
The same information is posted on the ED Artistic Review page for MT (http://drama.tisch.nyu.edu/object/dr_fredmt.html</a>).
