In keeping with @Publisher’s line of thought, why are you interested in NYU? The USNWR engineering rankings are highly flawed. Several upper east coast schools with otherwise good reputations for the whole are over ranked in engineering, sometimes by a long margin. There’s no way most practicing engineers would put Tandon at #36, if you even believe you can numericall rank such things. ABET sets a pretty high baseline for engineering. There are quite a few I’d choose over NYU.
