My take is that awards are always a good way to support a solid narrative. So sure, if you are presenting yourself as an avid writer, then this will be good evidence to support that. I confess I’m not familiar with this award, so I don’t know if it’s something that is so well-known and prestigious that it will make eyes pop beyond “supporting the narrative.” But in any case, without specific knowledge, I would say awards often help create a clear and compelling profile in the AO’s mind. And then very prestigious awards probably hold water all on their own, not just as “evidence” of a presented narrative.
