@happymomof1 right now, I’m documented and legal but in any case, if the appeal doesn’t work out, I’ll be asked to leave and then it’ll be really difficult to even apply for student visa. all the attornies I’ve talked to, they said it’s like a 50-50 chance or 60-40 chance. I didn’t wanna risk anything and become undocumented, you know? That’s why I was looking into studying abroad so it’s 1)cheaper 2)I can come back for grad school instead of staying undocumented or even risking it.
I have about 4-7 months till I hear back from the USCIS. I can leave right after graduation and do my bachelors in Taiwan but my major concern right now is that does rank really matter?? if I score well in an overseas universities, even if it’s a low ranking school, would I still have a good chance or getting into IVY or something like that or is my college rank gonna put me at a disadvantage?
