Is "The Voice" Your New Vice?

I’ve read that Taylor’s studio recording of the Taylor Swift song is much better than how he did on the show. I refuse to install iTunes, though, so I guess I’ll never know :-)

The NBC voice website lets you listen to the studio versions.

<a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube;

So based on the iTunes theory, it’s Matt, Chris, and Craig.
Craigs downloads-#4 and 26
Matts-#6 and 17 (still on there #41 and 49 for earlier songs)
Chris-#7 and 16

Taylor #22 and 29
Damien #25 and 55

I’m hoping either Reagan or DaNica grt the wild card. DaNica has the more polished voice but I think Reagan has more pop appeal.

Haha, I call as I hear them. I thought the MJ song of Damien was nice to hear and nice to the ear. This said, after a number of falsettos, I get tired of the genre, even when they are very good.

While I think that the voters will split Adam’s team, I am not sure how and why Taylor should survive. The rest, as I easily predited (duh) is anybody’s race as there is not a clear frontrunner.

Post of the week! :))

It seems many of you are west coasters, or at least not on the east. Do I need to mind the spoilers tonight, cause part of my fun is watching, posting here and voting on my phone - lol

@eyeamom westcoaster here. I don’t mind spoilers, in fact, (much to family’s dismay), I look for them and read end of books first. But people who are afraid of spoilers have enough sense (usually) not to go into places where the game is in recap!

Getting to the top 3 right off the bat, they are: Chris, Craig, Matt

Now the rest of the top 12 all sing.

I thought Regan was very good. I could see her getting through.

Reagan singing Put your record on - I just don’t get the love for her. Again with her age in the comments.

They’re just going to one coach and then their coach.

Jessie - singing Zombie.

Reagan had the curse of going first. I don’t think she will get through.

I like the song Reagan sang a lot and I usually like her a lot, but I found the performance blah. Also found Jessie blah.

Glad that we were right about the top 3. :)

Ryan singing “Marry Me.” Tweens are probably fainting in the audience. I like Anita’s sentiment, but she is so untuneful. Her scat singing is pretty good. She should try some Joan Armatrading songs.

I like the spoilers. I will probably miss a lot of it tonight. It’s too stressful watching and waiting.

Ryan Sill singing Marry Me. He’s got a sweet voice but too boy band-ish for me. Gwen Stefanie is still in love with him - lol

One thing I keep thinking about - the judges talk about song choice, which is so true. But the very essence of the show that keeps coming home to me - you can’t just have a good voice, you have to be a song writer who can write fabulous songs. Maybe a country singer can get away with it, but all great bands write their own music.

The judges seem to love everyone. After Damian sang, they all gushed.

Not all great vocal performers, though. Think of Motown. Admittedly, the great singer/songwriters such as Joni Mitchell, Amy Winehouse, Carole King, and Adele stand out. I’ve been thinking about Laura Nyro lately. :)

Damien, competent as always. Taylor John, back in his wheelhouse. Sugar Jones, decent performance.

So far no one has been The One for me.

^^^Love Laura Nyro!

As for tonight, none of them has been a stand out. I honestly don’t know who I’d vote for.

I thought Luke did well. DaNica seemed to overdo it a little, imo.
