Is "The Voice" Your New Vice?

bumping for tonight’s knockout round. Sonic was the right choice.

Which contestant left the voice for personal reason?

Anthony Riley from Pharrell’s team

I can handle Sonic’s nose rings but her nose CHAIN has got to stay in her jewelry box (which it did tonight)!

Oddest couple: Blake and Sarah. Glad Brian got stolen, but he’s over his head this season.

Finally… we got to see a complete performance by Nathan! He’s been the show’s best kept secret up til now.

Sawyer is a star! Poise, polish, pitch, perfection!!

Meghan has a phenomenol voice but not the look or the artistry.

I didn’t like either one of Christina’s “diva girls”, Kimberley or Koryn, to close tonight’s show.

Thought Nate Ruess did an awesome job.

This year has the deepest talent pool of any season.Tomorrow should also be a great show. Looking forward to hearing India and Cody.

I think the talent is also deep this year.

I liked Meghan better tonight.

I don’t think the last battle was any big deal.

Still loving Sawyer.

Blake is the only one with a steal left. India better not be thrown under a bus!

If the amount of posts are any indication, The Voice is in trouble.

Anthony Riley. Anyone know why?

@dstark, agree about the number of posts and interest in the show. I am watching, but just don’t care too much this season. No one has grabbed my loyalty.

Anthony Riley refused to be paired up in the knockout rounds. He tweeted “I dedicate my battle round victory to Mumia Abu Jamal and political prisoners everywhere”. I don’t think NBC appreciated this…

I’ve read that the refusal to knockout rumor is false. The tweet is real and out there, though.

I missed some of the earlier battles last night. I continue to be impressed by Sawyer and MiaZ. Paul is a really good performer, but not a Voice type. I thought Travis sounded terrible, although he was certainly passionate about it: awful, tuneless song choice. Meghan is a great singer, but I just am turned off by her stage presence.

Re Christina’s duo: Kimberley is a fantastic, polished performer, but I think that Koryn has a more interesting voice with more potential in the long run. Does she remind anyone else of Joan Armatrading?

Seems to me that some of the best have yet to perform. But only one steal left? That’s too bad.

BTW, I thought Lionel Ritchie did a great job as a coach.

I am not sure there will be much quality left to steal, and especially if the coaches place the strongest against the weakest.

Thank you Mamabear and Jym. Hope whatever it is, he is ok.

I like Caitlin. Kind of a dull show.

Agree with dstark about the show being dull. No contenders were competing tonight.

Wish Cody had played his guitar and picked a better song. He really lacked stage presence and had nothing to hide behind.

Surprised that Blake stole Hannah back after letting her go in the battle round. I feel like he wasted his last steal. This will NOT be a repeat of Craig Wayne Boyd’s victory last season, under similar circumstances, when Blake stole back CWB. Don’t get how she is still hanging around?

Christina still has her steal remaining with 2 more knockout rounds remaining next week. Strategically that could be an important factor.

Yes, I was surprised by how weak Cody’s performance was. I don’t get the Hannah love either.

I missed Cody’s performance, but I love Corey’s voice and was glad he won. I thought that part of Cody’s problem with stage presence in earlier rounds was caused by the angle and depth at which he wears his hat. It throws his eyes into dark shadow much of the time, which makes it hard to connect with the camera or the audience.

I was surprised that Nathan beat Clint until I watched his performance. Wow!

Just imagine they had to steal someone from American Idol! I doubt the steal that is left will make any difference. The final cut by the judges will have the real action. Adam upgraded his team in the last round, but he had lots of room for improvement.

It seems that the knockout and battle rounds are too redundant.

I thought the show lacked energy last night, also. I did like Cory, and also was surprised about all of the Hannah enthusiasm. She seems like a sweetie, but not really ready. I was sorry to see Clinton go last night.
I wonder if Blake isn’t really trying this year. He has to know that it’s time for a different coach to win.

I was out of town and missed both nights this week. After reading these posts, I’m not sure I will try to catch up. I don’t even remember the names yet. Is Hannah the one they call little Loretta Lynn?

musicmom1215, Kelcie May was “Little Loretta Lynn”.

I watched some of the clips at nbc.com. I didn’t know the clips were available, just thought you could watch full episodes. That is great, except I couldn’t tell who was pitted against whom or who won or was stolen. I remember Hannah and also don’t get the love. Still like Caitlin. I liked Meghan better this time, and I like Sarah. Looking forward to India. And Nathan. wow. and Sawyer. double wow!
