musicmom, At the moment, I have Dave as Blake’s no. 1 seed and a top-3 finalist. I could listen to him all day. I should have replaced one of my current team members as soon as he performed his Blind, listening and loving him on YouTube before season 15 even premiered. For me this season, it was all about App points early on so I switched out no one until one of my artists was eliminated.
So far, my top 3 are Kennedy, Dave, and Tyke. I’m not convinced that Tyke is a top 3 singer, but he certainly has “it.”
I lost Katrina, but I thought that her song choice was terrible, and so was Funsho’s. I wouldn’t have wanted to keep either of them, based on that performance. I really thought that Katrina was likely to be a finalist, so I am quite surprised.
I loved Tyke’s performance. Honestly, I’d rather listen to him than to someone who is a vocal powerhouse but is constantly belting out power ballads. Makenzie was impressive last night, great display of delicacy and finesse, while Kymberli leaves me cold. Sandyredd disappointed me by going back to the straight belting again. Don’t like Radha or Nastasia.
I also was impressed by Makenzie. I don’t even remember her from the earlier rounds. Don’t like Radha or Nastasia either.
I think another one to watch is 17-year-old Abby Cates. Besides Kennedy, she is my favorite young female voice.
Next week there is just one Knockout Round remaining on Monday. Tuesday 11/6, voting day, will be a recap show. Here’s where I think everything stands for the final Knockout before the Live Playoffs begin:
Saves remaining: Blake and Kelly
Blake has Chris, Colton, Kirk, and Michael remaining to perform. I am thinking he will pair Colton v. Kirk, declare Kirk the winner, and Colton goes home. This leaves Chris v. Michael, where he uses his save on one so both move on to the Playoffs.
Kelly has just one pairing remaining— Chevel v. Sarah Grace. She uses her save on one and both move on to the Playoffs.
Steal remaining: JHud
Her remaining team to compete are Anthony v. Kennedy. Kennedy wins and Anthony goes home. I’m guessing her steal comes from Adam’s remaining Knockouts between DeAndre, Delaney, Jake, and Steve. Not sure of the pairings but I am guessing DeAndre wins his Knockout, and JHud steals either Delaney or Jake, with Steve going home.
Somehow the Comeback gets some airtime but I think it will be during the Live Playoffs. I hope they scrap this wrinkle next season. I would not mind if Kelsea gets to “come back” herself. Ditto for Mariah. I thought both of them were very good advisers.
I lost two. I have 1,267,500. I added Abby and Dave. I have 4 at 37 days and 2 at 36 days. My rank dropped to 842.
Consolation, I was surprised Katrina went home this early! She was definitely one of my faves. Agree about the song choice… should have covered a more recognizable song with some room to showcase that beautiful voice of hers.
musicmerit, Also sorry Claire went home. I was not surprised Kelly let her go because she turned very late for her in the Blinds. Was hoping she would have selected Blake at the time. I really thought Blake would steal her except that he used his one steal on Natasia in the Monday Knockouts. Kelly turned really fast for Abby in the Blinds so when Claire was paired with her in the Knockouts I thought the only way she would stay is if Kelly used her save on her.

Gosh, remember her well! We affectionately called her Baldy Beverly. Thanks for your post skieurope. Was not aware that she had passed away at such a young age. May her memory forever bless all her loved ones.

Random thoughts (rant) and reminders. Hopefully, I am sharing the info accurately:
Monday 11/5 is the final night of the Knockouts. There will be 12 artists competing with 9 moving on to the Live Playoffs and 3 going home. Currently there are 15 artists going to the Live Playoffs, plus 9 more during the final night of the Knockouts, totaling 24 in all. Blake and Kelly still have their save (for one of their own team members) and JHud has her steal remaining (to try to lure a saved artist away from a saved artist) or keep someone from going home). Tuesday is a recap, aka a “clip”, show.
Monday 11/12 the Top-24 will ALL be singing. Unlike last season, there will be overnight voting and the results will be during the Tuesday 11/13 show. Half go home. The Comeback artist gets chosen during the Tuesday 11/13 show. Therefore there will be a Top-13 heading into the Live Shows.
I do not like the Comeback Stage and, hopefully, it is a one and done. Kelsea Ballerini picked 6 artists in the Blinds that did not get a chair turn. She then put them in 3 pairs to basically have their own knockout round. Now 3 Comebackers remain that no one really knows or cares much about. Their names are Lynnea Moorea, Wyatt Rivers, and Ayanna Joni. (Wish one of them were Sam Robbins, but he was eliminated.) On Tuesday 11/13 one somehow gets automatically eliminated and then the final 2 will be presented for America to vote to see which one goes to the Live Shows. The Comeback winner will then choose what team they want to join.
I WOULD LIKE TO SEE AMERICA CHOOSE THE “WILD CARD” FROM THOSE ELIMINATED IN THE KNOCKOUTS. Pretty much all of those already eliminated in the Knockouts are better than the Comebackers imo, especially Katrina Cain and Claire DeJean.

I think the final Knockout tonight, to close the show, will be from Team Adam and will involve JHud who has the only steal left. Adam’s 4 remaining are DeAndre, Delaney, Jake, and Steve.
