Well that didn’t last long. I now have 180,500 points and am ranked 999+. I did not answer all the questions on Tuesday. But I think I am being overtaken by the tweeters. I am still not changing my team. I will keep the max day counts. I have 8 on a list to add when I lose someone. Not in any order, will likely add whoever will balance my team among the four coaches. Here are the 8 - Jej, Jacob, Patrick, Alena, Betsy, Dalton, Rebecca and LB.
This week, Blind 5 is tonight Monday 3/11. No show on Tuesday. Next week Blind 6 is Monday 3/18. Once again, no show on Tuesday but there will be a recap show on Wednesday 3/20 (at least that’s what I read?).
Monday 3/25, the Battle Rounds begin. Here is an excerpt from the NBC website:
The artists take the stage for the “Battle Rounds”! The coaches enlist music industry powerhouses Charlie Puth, Kelsea Ballerini, Brooks & Dunn and Khalid to prepare their artists for a dueling duet. After the vocal face-off, each coach must choose which artist from their team is the strongest, and has the option of stealing losing artists from an opposing coach. Each coach has two steals during the “Battle Rounds.” Winning artists will proceed to the brand new round, the “LIVE Cross Battles,” all in the hopes of being named the next Voice champion. Carson Daly (“TODAY Show”) hosts.
To my understanding, the Cross Battles will involve the loser (if not stolen) against a Comeback Stage opponent. The 3 winners will then have a sing-off in the Knockout Round (?) to see who goes to the Live Shows.

Lots of solid auditions: Ciera (best of night, imo), Mikaela, Mari, Andrew, Selkii. For me, Mikaela is so much more interesting than LiLi Joy from Blind 1. I added Mikaela to my team!
I also really liked Oliv Blu, who was montaged. I personally did not care for Denton but when I watched him on YouTube before the season started he was on the piano and he was really in his element. Thought Blind 5 this week was the best Blind so far. There are 1-2 more Indie girls performing next week that sounded really good on YouTube. This season is loaded with female Indie, Country, and male R and B artists. Shawn, the guy who closed the show, is so similar looking and sounding to Matthew, from Blind 1, and both got 4-chair turns.
I did not agree with Bebe’s choices for Comebacks! Crystal Rose was off-key, FLAT in parts, and Kayla Seeber reminded me of a less talented version of Catie Turner, the quirky girl on American Idol last season. I think Jae Jen should have been asked back, along with Kayla. Jae got dumped because of his song choice, but the guy can navigate a song!

Celia Babini is probably my favorite of this group. She is yet another Indie singer of this season, but with great range. I guess I am partial to Indie artists…
I didn’t start watching until last week and caught up on Hulu, so my point count is pitiful. And of course I don’t tweet and can’t play along since I don’t have cable or the expensive version of Hulu, so points are pretty much irrelevant for me.
I started adding singers I liked as they performed without being particularly selective, and ended up full before the end, so I’m going to have to go back and do some culling, because there were a few people I was interested in: Mikaela, Mari, LB, LiLi, for example. I noted afterward that my choices so far are not team-balanced in the least. Sorry, Kelly, love you but don’t share your taste in singers.

Sorry to hear Ava August did not get a chair turn. Hope she returns and picks a better song. One of my pre-premiere artists was Lauren McKenzie. Did she get a chance to audition? Kelly is the only coach who still has a spot left at the moment.
Adam is ending up with a better team than I thought he would when the season began.
I watched AI tonight and will catch up with The Voice tomorrow night.
Just watched and I thought the final night of the Blinds was a very good show.
I’m adding Celia Babini to my team. I do not see Adam letting her go and will be shocked if she isn’t in the Live Shows. I just hope Adam knows what to do with her. Ava August, just 13-years-old, was a mess and did not get a chair turn. She oversang and overmanipulated an already difficult House of the Rising Sun. Lauren McKenzie wasn’t even in a montage from what I saw. Hope she and Ava return next season.

I sacrificed day counts and added Jej (dropped Kim) 2 weeks ago, Mikaela (dropped Dexter) last week and Celia (dropped Bundy’s) this week. I think Mikaela and Celia are both slam dunks to make the Live Shows and Jej is somewhat likely.

I am in the 300s with 445,000 points. I added a few more to my list of replacements for when I lose someone. I think I will make replacements based on balancing my team among the coaches. I have 17 atists in that list. I just added Celia, Andrew J., Kaslyn and Jackson.
musicmerit, I love Andrew J. and Kayslin as well. I am missing a male Country guy. Tough call, who THAT one artist might be! I think Andrew J. could be the fan favorite, especially with the ladies, and vocally I’d give him a slight edge over Jackson. Blake’s no. 1 Country guy might possibly be Dalton Dover.
Best if the Blinds (recap show) will air tonight for anyone interested.
I listened again to the array of male Country artists on the show this season. I really like Jackson Marlow. Should Kelly not keep him (against Rebecca in the Battle Round?) and he gets stolen by Blake, I will like him even more. He’s my first alternate when I lose someone.
I watched Monday’s show tonight. I also really like Jackson Marlow. He seems to have the whole package–young, cute, and great voice. I bet he has a fun personality, being related to Red. I also liked the other country guy that chose Adam over Kelly.
I “reluctantly” just watched “The Best of the Blind Auditions” and am glad I sat through the 2-hour show. They also showed some of the upcoming Battle matchups.
After watching the show, my new “1st alternate” is Kayslin. I think she could go far. Some of my other impressions after watching the recap show:
Loved Kendra even more than her Blind— and I liked her Blind.
Reaffirmed that Domenic is my favorite male artist.
Really liked Matthew and Shawn’s, Domenic and Trey’s, Kendra and Kim’s, Jej and Beth’s Battles.
Liked LB and Ciera’s Battle, especially how LB sounded.
Did NOT like Rizzi and Presley’s Battle. Not collaborative. Over singing.
I have cooled a little on Gyth. Rod outsang him, imo.

I lost Trey and Mikaela. Mikaela’s young nerves really got the best of her and Kelly went with the safer Bundy bet to advance. Trey, on the other hand, SHOULD have been stolen, imo. I agree with every coaching decision, who they advanced on their teams, I just don’t agree on stealing BOTH Matthew AND Rod. Interestingly, both Mikaela and Trey WON AMERICA’S VOTE, for those playing along on the Voice App.
