<p>Apply chemical engineering as first choice major and chemistry as second choice major. If Viterbi doesn’t accept you Dornsife will automatically consider you (and this is true even if you didn’t choose a second choice major).</p>

We will always consider students for their first choice major, their second choice major, and ultimately as undecided before they are released from the process.
While it is true that applying to certain majors means we will pay closer attention to certain things, i.e. your math and science preparation if you are applying to one of our engineering majors, we will always consider students equally for both their first and second choice majors.
