Is there an oppressive PC culture at Swarthmore?

<p>I will not get into a spitting match about the definition of selectivity. As it happens, I teach at an institution that had a slightly lower acceptance rate than Swarthmore and slightly lower SAT scores. I would never call my institution more selective; it is harder to get into Swarthmore. </p>

<p>A quick Google search unearthed the source of Englishman’s issues:

I have acceptance from Williams, Amherst and Wesleyan and Vassar, even after being courted by admissions at Swarthmore and a rubbish fin adi package, also the accepted students days are a week after all the others, I think Swarthmore has really @#$%&* up this year.

I have never understood how people can be so ungrateful about any financial aid offer. Rubbish? Really? Perhaps Jim Bock really is King Solomon. </p>
