I sit on our school’ booster board and I can’t think of a single person on the board who doesn’t work outside the home. Everyone works at least part time, and even most of the executive board work full time.
Also, the loudest crowd of squeaky wheels I know of at our school don’t volunteer at all. Many of them don’t even have a booster membership.
I know everywhere is different, but in reading some of these posts, one might get the impression that the PTA = squeaky wheel parents, but that isn’t the case everywhere.
