<p>That is terrible. Hard to believe that was part of the job requirement. If it is, then she didn’t make it, but it sounds crazy to me.</p>
<p>My son worked for an electronics store, and it was an important component of the job review to sell warrenties. But there was not that big of a requirement, and it was more a matter of whether you gave the sales spiel for each purchase for keeping your job. You got incentives for selling the things.</p>
<p>Maybe I missed this, but when she was interviewing for the position (or when she was offered the job), was she informed that a quota was a requirement and not reaching the quota would result in termination?</p>
<p>Apparently, whatever money the three credit cards could eventually generate for Sears outweigh the costs of hiring and training a new employee… I have not set my foot in a Sears store in more than 3 years, and have no plans to go back. Kenmore and Craftsman brands are not what they used to be.</p>
