Just a reminder… the internet can be used as a great sounding board, but for medical diagnoses, please consult with a member of your health care team. CC has a lot of parents who are part of the health care profession, but many of those would probably say to follow up with your own physician if you feel s/he needs to be updated since your last communication with them.
It baffles me that anyone would try to get medical advice on CC. If you think you’re sick, go to the doctor. If you don’t trust his advice, get a second opinion.
I don’t mean to bring back this old thread, but @suzy100, you were right, it actually was hand foot mouth disease, and I am almost completely back to normal. Nasty infection. My mom said that it was unusual that an older teen like myself would contract it, as it is most commonly seen in younger children, but it is what it is. Glad it wasn’t mono!
