<p>This thread is a good reminder to check each school’s policy re: stacking: merit aid, need-based aid, outside scholarships and need-based grants. Every school is different and it does matter a lot if a student was planning to use additional money to cover, say, room and board with a full tuition scholarship, or an outside scholarship to pay for books.</p>

<p>If OP had seen a thread like this before applying/accepting/whatever some pain may have been avoided. A month isn’t THAT old, IMO :)</p>
