Yes, it’d be very important your mentor writes exactly how much you did, and discuss it with specific details, but if this is published and she can say you did most of the work, yes it’s a very big deal.
Why in the world did you ask about double publishing one article though?Did you not know you couldn’t?
@MYOS1634 I’m sorry for that, I was doing something else while writing the post. I was thinking if It would increase my chances if I could get the extended part published in Stanford intersect, but I realised that JMLR is a much more reputed Journal. Thanks Anyway! your advice helped!!
