Is this usual after freshman year of college ?

@QueenX I suggest you don’t procrastinate if you want to get a higher GPA. If you succeeded in procrastinating in high school, it won’t work in college. College classes meet less frequently in the week compared to high school so you have to study longer than you did for classes in high school. There are less assignments and tests in college compared to high school so doing poorly on just one of them can affect your grade by a lot. That’s why you have the extra time you didn’t get in high school to spend more time studying for those tests and working on those assignments. I think that all this free time you get in college is extremely dangerous if you don’t know how to manage your time well. I suggest prioritizing tasks that are more important and completing those first. Study first even if you absolutely hate the class and save the relaxing for later. It’s so much better to relax knowing you completed your assignment than to relax knowing you have an assignment to complete. I like going with the mindset of work hard, play hard. Hopefully, you’ll do better in sophomore year since you said you have more non-reading and writing classes.
