Agree! A big hug! My kids always addressed their cards and notes to Nana. She loved it!
I received a card today (1/11) and 80+ friends and relatives will be receiving ‘Happy New Year’ cards from us this week (or next). They were mailed today.

Our PO email tells us we are receiving three Christmas cards today - all postmarked from Richmond, VA. They were mailed between 12/18 and 12/22. Two are from relatives and one is from a long time family friend.
We received 2 more Christmas/New Year’s cards yesterday. Seeing these in our mailbox is still making me smile!
My 88 yr old mother still sends cards every Christmas. When I asked her if she heard from everyone this year, she answered, “All, but one”. I thought that was impressive, and googled the name, half expecting to find an obituary. The good news is he’s an 88 yr old judge, who was hospitalized with covid from August through October, but is now back home recovering.
We received a forwarded card to my mother (who passed away this summer) from her childhood friend that I had heard about and never met. I sent her a note with the sad news and copy of the obit. This week I received an long and sweet handwritten letter back . It was lovely, and I made a copy to send to my sister.
