CPR trained folks are trained to use an AED.

Classof…I personally think you are taking this a bit too far. It’s one thing to send band aids, ibuprofen and cold pills…and quite another to send a CPR mask (if your kid needs CPR, how will they TELL someone they have this and where to find it?), or to expect that perhaps a roommate will have CPR or AED training.

We all worry about our kids.

Your child should also carry on his person at ALL times, a list of all medications he regularly takes including OTC meds. This is very important info in the event EMT personnel are called to help him. He should also carry emergency contact phone numbers for you and your husband, and the closest emergency adult to his college. To be honest, I think THIS is more important than a little box that has bandages and cold meds in it.
