ILR offers a lot of guaranteed transfers to freshman applicants. The numbers are decieving, and the majority of transfers are probably GT’s and not traditional external transfers. And they really do not transfer in boatloads of students because the school is so small, but it does have a lot relative to its size (but again most are probably GT’s). I think CALS has way more transfers overall, but it ia spread across a lot more majors. Cornell does have great financial aid though. But OP, the numbers you see for transfers include gt’s which are used a lot by some of the colleges, particulary the contract colleges, thus inflating the acceptance %.

Why not go in as an IRL major and switch when you’re at Cornell?

I’m currently in Virgina touring Colonial Williamsburg and, wow, the College of William and Mary is beautiful.

Not sure if that’s plausible.

I know of one transfer who entered as CAS as a sophomore and transferred to HumEc and the end of the year.

If a transfer enters as a junior…there is no way she could do an internal transfer without staying at Cornell for an additional semester or longer.
