James B. Angell Scholars and University Honors

Just went through the 90th Honors Convocation program. It is clear that James B. Angell Scholars are for students with all A for two or more terms and University Honors are for students with 3.5 GPA in one term. I also noticed that some students with 2 to 7 James B. Angell Scholars also appear in University Honors, but not all James B. Angell Scholars appear in University Honors. I am wondering what the diference is. Thanks.

The GPA cutoff is clearly higher for Angell Scholars, but the non-qualifying term exception for Angell Scholar allows for the possibility of maintaining an Angell streak without qualifying for U-Honors. Angell Scholar is obviously superior.
