January 2010 SAT Results Thread

670/650/750 on my third test. In all my attempts, those stupid graders never gave me more than an 8 on the essay.

so terrible :frowning:
i really messed up the MC in writing if i got a 730 with a 12 essay :(

You guys really now how to make somebody feel horrible lol. I thought I had a good score but now I realize I’m nothing compared to these CC’ers.

CR:750
M:740
W:770 (80/8), Ticked off about my 8 essay, I hated that topic D:

My scores:

CR: 610 (Stayed the same from 610!)
Math: 740 (Down from 770 :O)
Writing: 670 (Up from 520 :O)

2020 Total (Up from 1900)

Shall I superscore, I’d have
CR: 610
Math: 770
Writing: 670

Total: 2050

CR: 680 (Less than i hoped)
Math: 770 (As expected)
Writing: 670 (69 - 8)

Total: 2120

overall im disappointed… i didn’t prepare enough, especially the essay 8 - i didnt get time to conclude just intro and two examples…

this was my first SAT… except for one that i took one 4 years back and got 1600

for 730 reading, how many questions wrong is that?

great job everyone!

Is 2150 bad the first time around?=/

CR: 800 M:770(darn) W:780
Total: 2350

I was feeling good about my score, but then there were bunch of 2400s in my school
so now I feel comparatively inferior. :S

Critical Reading 640 **
Math 680
Writing
620**

Multiple Choice **63 **
Essay 8

Final score: 1940/2400
1320/1600

Obviously not as good as most people on here, but considering i was just shooting for at least a 1800 this time (first time i took the test) then im pretty happy. Now i want to break 2000.

Im surprised i even got a 8 on the essay. I really had no idea what i was doing, i even forgot a concluding paragraph

First try and…
CR: 800
Math: 720
Writing: 800 (Essay 11, MC 78)
Total: 2320

Definitely not taking them, but too bad I already registered for the March exam :frowning: Darn you CB, stealing my money like that!

Gah, that 730 in CR is really annoying me.

It’s a great score and I wouldn’t be complaining, except that it’s the same exact score I got last year even though I’ve studied CR for like 25 hours since then, and I do way better on practice tests.

January 2009: 730 with no prep
Nov 2009: 710 after ~25 hours of prep
Jan 2010: 730 after no additional prep.

And on practice tests I always get -1, -2, or -4 raw.

It’s like I have a you-can’t-improve-in-CR-disability :(

It’s just a little annoying when your hard work does absolutely nothing.

770 M 800 CR 780 W
Total: 2350

See you guys in March

CR- 730 (up 10)
M- 800 (up 30)
W- 790 (up 30)

Happy because I wasn’t expecting math and writing to jump. Kinda bummed because my cr didn’t improve more and it is the one I needed to improve. But still- I broke 2300!!!

Hi…just took the SAT for the first time. Does anyone know what percentile (overall) an 1840 translates to? My scores are:
CR - 590 (very disappointing)
Math - 660 (better than expected)
Writing - 590 (worse than I thought)

Again, this totals 1840 and I want to know if that’s considered good enough for Florida schools and what % it puts me in.

Thanks and Congrats to all who did so well!

How many MC wrong with a 12 essay can someone still get an 800 for W?

You’re seriously retaking a 2350?

CR: 800
M: 800
W: 750 (78/8)

Nothing new here really. I’m pretty ticked off by the 8 essay though.

Yes 10char

730CR
720M
790W (11 essay, 75 subscore MC)

2240.
Taking it again.

680CR
720M
670W (8 essay)
Total: 2070
Superscore: 2080
haven’t decided whether i’m taking it again (seeing as my scores have been impressively consistent throughout the year 205 PSAT, 2050 Dec, 2070 Jan) or whether i’m just gonna focus on the ACT

SOO MAD ABOUT THE ESSAY! I’ve gotten an 8 both times and I thought this one was so much better!

exact same score as you, cht2011
