January 2013 SAT I CR (Japanese Rice, and others)

I think the passage about how groups affect individuals opinions was in the spirit of the decade section.

CRAPPP the panda one was error i.d. right?
I put no error, but ability of contorting should be ability to contort…

^
I said the “contorting” part was wrong because I thought it should be “to contort.” I wasn’t completely sure about that one.

Do you guys remember the governor under “pressure of her cabinet” or something like that? I thought it should be “pressure from” so I said that part was wrong, but I’m really not sure about that one. :(

what about the writing one that was like ''that there exist a number of universes were hypothesized by… i said were but shouldnt it be exists

^
I said “were” was wrong. I don’t remember why but it seemed screwed up.

I thought it was really interesting that television screens used to go blank at night. I like when I learn stuff on the SAT.

Nope there was something else wrong with the exist writing question. It was either B or C. I don’t remember which but I’m 100% sure.

sorry, i meant last question of improving paragraphs.

improving paragraph i chose the one that wad like using modern technology

also c was were for that question about universes

YES “were” was what was wrong with that question.

What would 5 wrong, 5 skip be on math?

what was the passage about the spirit of the decade? I had experimental CR so i must hae had that passage, i just dont remember it

was the tv one just the past tense one i was a lil confused cause broadcast was present

“until midnight, at which televisions displayed blank screens.” Is that right?

@AZkoogle I’m pretty sure “were” was fine. “a number” is plural and i think the sentence was something like “a number were”

“What would 5 wrong, 5 skip be on math?”

According to my previous scores, 5 wrong 12 skip is 580 and 2 wrong 0 skip is 730. So I’d estimate 650 or so?

I didn’t get spirit of the decade, and I’m glad because it sounds boring as hell. Cold War was bad enough.

but starting a sentence with that is eequal to saying the fact that so it should be sibgular

^that’s around a 610-630

Sent from my SGH-T839 using CC

Why wouldn’t it be “That there exist a number of universes WAS hypothesized by”?

Dumb musings:
I’m confused about the singular/plural status of “a number.” I mean, it looks singular, but if they said “That there exist four universes” it would definitely be plural. And four is a number.

The spirit of the decade thing was only a short passage. It only had 2 questions.

omg i forgot if i picked the tense or the singular/plural
