I just want to know my scores already!

You guys are wrong for the parabola multiple choice question; the answer was a=1 only. If you put the coordinates (-2,-1) into the formula of the parabola, y=x^2+2x-1, the answer works. Also, you could see it was moved to the left to units (hence the +2 in the equation, and down 1, hence the -1 in the equation.) “A” had to equal 1

I got indefatigable, acerbic, affronted, and egregious also!

^^^^ YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! im so happy because they were all guesses for me

was the x-intercept -6?

@science. how do you know that y=x^2+2x-1 is the equation of the graph?

I put dearth.
And I also put rich = wealthy
And Science2014, that explanation doesn’t really make sense to me…could you expand on it?

Rich = wealthy
Cardinals = dearth
x intercept = -6 (graphing calculator)

For the parabola, if it was just x^2 for the a term wouldn’t it have had the point (-1,0) in it? I don’t remember that it did. It seemed “steeper,” which is why I said a>1.

Did anyone else have a passage about groups/opinions? Because I feel like the only one.

what was the question for “dearth”?

What did everyone get for the ax+by=c and y=mx+k question?

^I didn’t get either of them.

@RhythmMelon…this guy was watching cardinals behind his house or something and he noticed that there were less of them than usual. There was a dearth of them in his yard, he thought, so there must have been a diminution of them in general.

OHH! I put dimunition too. yay!

The coordinate they gave you as the vertex as (-2,-1). It’s hard to describe the graph in words, but plug the numbers into the equation and it works. Even check it on ur calc

anyone remmeber the questions for the mini passages? I thought the first pair was a bit difficult.

for the summer 1943 or whatever year i said b which was like another thing about established the setting not a which was like spirit of the decade. agree?

Yeah, but even if it is the vertex, you can’t just plug it in to the equation like that…

what exactly was the question / choices for the summer 1943 question?

how many E did you guys get on the “identify errors” part of writing? i got like 4, and 2 of them are consecutive…
