can anyone remember the question for number 5 vocab? the one with perennial

I chose Bewildered because he was shocked that the book had his uncle’s writing on it

@AbsTSS okay thanks i was just worried because everyone is saying that he was overjoyed but I thought he was more shocked that he had found the book than overjoyed… :)

@pringles97 I think the question was asking something about the constant conflict between 2 things and that is was naive or disinegious to think if the conflict was anything other than … I said unique because that’s the opposite of constant

Bewildered has a connotation of confused. I tend to think he was overjoyed.
For the perennial and unique thing, definitely unique. The sentence was saving something is so common, if you claim it to be unique, then you are fooling yourself.

@AbsTSS no man it was overjoyed, he would be bewildered if he wasnt anticipating it but the minute he looked at the cover he had a hunch so bewildered doesnt fit =/

I chose overjoyed. He hugged it tightly and dearly. If he were shock, he would probably stare at it speechless.

Ok too bad then Btw do you think -1 in math will still be 800?

So far how are you going?
Math - I am sure i got two wrong (one of the grid) … Hope i didn’t made any careless mistake…
CR - In the worst case scenario 6 mistakes i believe
Writing - Essay at least a 10 and the grammar part I don’t know

What do you think about the curve so far?

Many people thought it was really easy. But be cautious about the traps CB set forth.
I think the curve should be quite normal.
-1 on math probably will be 770

,

hahahah everyone here seems to have done a great job overall. makes me think that everyone who took the test got only a few wrong like the ppl on collegeconfidential

I am totally unaware of the grading curves so will someone explain to me why on earth does a simple -1 result in a gigantic deduction of 30 points ? :-o

■■■ how was the decimal to left question 3 percent? it was 0.03

Hey guys, do you reckon a low essay score will affect your score badly? I completely blanked on the essay, gave two examples but were not very unique, pretty generic stuff. Writing style was good though … Thesis+varied vocab and sentence structure+conclusion

But I heard they don’t really care about examples? Its more about how you write?

@Alcaraz A low essay score will affect your writing score, but it also depends on how low your multiple-choice score is. If your multiple-choice score is high, then a low essay score will pull it down, but if your multiple-choice is already low, then it shouldn’t affect it that much.

@Alcarza
They don’t care about whether your example is true. But they do want to see all kinds of examples, Literay works, history, etc…

Hey guys, in the poet paragraph there is a question in which the answer, as written in the google doc, is “principal audience” can u guys remember what was the original word and what was the 5 choices. Thanks

@Sparkkid1234 I think the original word was “primary”. I can’t remember the other choices though.
