***January 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

Yeah no you def had experimental, no worries!

Awesome, thank you very much.

Does anyone else remember the experimental math questions? I remember having 2 math sections back to back. I really hope the latter was experimental lol.

based god!

swagswag

hey guys did any of you have the question about a woman being 45 and worked 9 years and when she will be able to retire? was that experimental?

I know I’m probably beating a dead horse, but I still think that question asking about the fluoride statement with “legal position”, “candid admission” and “unequivocal endorsement” was NOT the latter. I don’t know if anyone else remembers that question, but I’m pretty sure there was nothing “unequivocal” about it. It didn’t seem like a clear-cut “endorsement” was made… my money is on “legal position”. I’m fairly certain that’s correct

I’m almost positive it was unequivocal endorsement. That was one of the questions I was most comfortable with on the entire test.

@alorsalors
I definitely got that question on one of my math sections. I am also fairly sure one of my math sections was experimental, I just can’t remember which section that specific question was on. Do you remember any of the questions that were also on that section? Also, read through the questions I’ve asked ckoepp127 on this page and see if you recognize any of the questions that I describe because I’m fairly sure that that section was experimental.

Darn… I already know I missed two vocab questions. That question better not cost me a poor man’s 800. :-S haha

Obviously I can’t 100% guarantee that I am right consider I can’t look back at the reading now. All I know is that I was very confident selecting unequivocal endorsement at the time.

I’ll probably end up with a 750 or something comparable. Good thing my writing score will bail me out. I’m hoping for an 800 there

Just curious, which other vocab questions did you miss? I’d like to see if I got them.

I missed the one with “seminal” and “recondite” and I’m pretty sure I missed the one with “global” and “subtle”. I probably missed the latter because, according to other posters, the question said “few areas were unaffected” and I read it as “few areas were affected”

So you chose recondite and subtle?

Yep. I unfortunately did.

I see, I didn’t miss those. I think it’s fairly likely that I had at least one question where I misread something like you did with the global / subtle question. I’m hoping that I didn’t do that enough to cost me an 800 though. I still haven’t found a question that I know I missed yet.

I’m sure that’s a good feeling. I wish you luck with your scores. This was my first SAT attempt, so I’ll probably settle for around a 2100.

Good luck to you as well. First “official” SAT I’ve taken. I took two practice tests in the Barron’s book to prep for the actual test.

did anyone who did not have an experimental math section get the question on math about a 45 year old woman who has worked 9 years and how long it would take for her to retire?
