<p>The Patriot is not really an off-road capable truck like the Wrangler and Liberty. It is more like a raised station wagon, meant for on-road use and possibly light off-road use (depending on options).</p>
<p>hops_scout, congrats on your purchase. We have had great service out of the two Chevy Silvarados that we have owned. DH bought one new in 1993 and drove it for ten years with virtually no probs. In 2009 S1 bought a 2000 model Silvarado. He’s driven it all over the country and its still going strong.</p>
