Way to have yourselves a flame war in the middle of this thread. Exercise some restraint next time, not for our sake, but because getting so heated up over somebody from the internet is a waste of your own energy. I’ve been much happier on the internet since I realized that.

Anyway, I disliked Falwell, a lot. I’m also going to chime in and say I’m glad he’s gone.

EDIT: I had to Wikipedia him.
I don’t think any more debates are coming today. Good luck on your paper, RDarin. (I was too lazy to create another post for this so I added it as an edit.)

Falwell’s ability to quickly find his foot in his mouth is rivaled only by Joe Biden and John McCain. Our great nation’s laughing stocks have taken a tremendous blow.

I greatly disliked Falwell, he made it his goal (and accomplished it) to politicize religion. That is ridiculous! And no, I’m not talking about the whole “seperation between church and state”, no, te goal of religion is to be a moral and philisophical sanctuary, it is where you contemplate your you deepest thoughts and secerest, and try to find peace with yourself. Trying to wrap this into the harsh, tooth-and-nail fighting political arena destroys its holiness and reduces its moral oblications.
