Jewish Enrollment - A Graph

Roderick, jewish enrollment is relevant to many Jews for a variety of reasons. It may, but does not have to, have anything to do with religious convictions, which would be the case with christian colleges. The Jewish population was important to me because it gave me a sense of community and continuity in my new endeavors. There were other people who shared common experiences like attending hebrew school as a child, being a part of aza or bbyo (youth groups), visiting Israel, training for a bar/bat mitzvah. It also opened an avenue of self exploration. For example, I double majored in Modern Hebrew and led holiday services. It gave me the opportunity to engage in leadership positions. Being amongst people who grew up like you provides comfort, familiarity, a dating pool, quick friendships and lasting friendships.
