<p>I just found this thread and it is fascinating. I didn’t let my daughter apply to southern schools because I just assumed there would be too many there who never met a Jew and would still think they had horns. Actually at an audition in Ohio we ran into just such a person, so yes, while my daughter has to learn that Jews are a minority in this country and often faced with prejudice and stereotypes I would like her to feel comfortable in her college experience. </p>
<p>We live in NY so exposure to all different nationalities is no big deal, she has never had the experience of being the “only one” and college is not the time to have that happen.</p>
