@1isthebest133 I don’t think there is any way the university would ever make an official statement about a potentially early EA date. The author of the Facebook post is very reliable and not a person that would offer information to parents, even somewhat privately, without ample evidence.
VALegacy - My son has only heard from, and been accepted to, University of Ternnessee as well.
Sounds like about everyone in virginia has heard from and been accepted to Tennesee.
VALegacy, skedeebs -
My son applied to 11 including JMU. Heard back from 6 (UDEL, U Tenn, USF, ECU, Michigan State and U Kentucky). All yeses so far. He is very interested in JMU so the wait continues. Still has Purdue, USC, Penn State and VT to hear from as well.
It’s an awesome school with a ton of school spirit (and lots of smart kids!). My son loves it there.
So Clemson and U of SC have supposed “hacks” to see if you got in - anyone know of one for JMU? Just something to do to pass the time lol!
the wait for JMU EA is awful!!
I am so nervous. It is kind of my safety school but I also really like it and would not mind going there if rejected from my dream and reach school. But I heard a lot of people get deferred in early action.
I have seen the Clemson. What is the u of sc hack?
@cbl1 go to USC and someone posted link Not sure if this hack works in kids who applied or are accepted. Mine came up good but so did most
Admissions Dept said late last week that there’s been no firm date for EA notification other than mid-January time frame, just FYI.
I just noticed something on my daughter’s application status page. At the top right there are some letters before her login ID. First time I have noticed it so I don’t know what it was before or if it changed or if it was there at all. The letters are SPRD which would indicate to me that she has been deferred to spring regular decision. She applied early action. Does anyone else show something similar on their application status page?
My D has the same, but i recall that it’s been there from the beginning and not a recent add, but i may be mistaken. she applied EA as well.
I was just wondering if it said something related to early action previous to today. I can’t recall.
My son’s portal and the one for his friend says SPRD too and they were both early action. We can’t remember either if it has been there all along and we didn’t notice.
Has anyone posed the question to admissions about this?
I mean, maybe don’t ask because then it will disappear!
No I haven’t asked admissions. I agree it may disappear.
No changes in my son’s portal logon page, no “SPRD”. He is OOS (NJ)
Did a google search on SPRD and JMU and I got this link. Looks like SPRD is not related to anything admissions wise. http://isapps.jmu.edu/test/How_to_Submit_Application_Issues.pdf
