Probably going to be a crazy amount of applications too so people need to be smart to get through the obstacles mentioned many times above.
I know someone who lectured in the sports marketing (masters) program at U San Francisco. They are good at getting students internships at the local sports teams (warriors, giants, 49ers, sharks, As before they moved to Vegas, etc), and some of those turn into permanent jobs. For those who are serious about sports jobs and have the funds to do it, a well targeted postgrad program is definitely worth investigating even if the university ‘name’ may not be one that people talk about a lot here.
Changing tack - I think we have spoken above how grad schools applications tend to go up when jobs markets are bad: I don’t think this was mentioned above but I may have missed it - the number of people taking LSAT has surged this year. Seems to indicate law school admissions are going to be brutal in the upcoming round.
The August 2025 LSAT had over 34,000 registered students, a 54% increase compared to August 2024, and is projected to be one of the largest administrations in 15 years.
