<p>I read in previous threads here on CC that they do not offer “work study” to freshman. </p>
<p>If you get work study after freshman year then that income would not count as income for that taxable year’s tax return. If you work off-campus or in a campus non-work study position, then that income would count towards your income that taxable year. It probably would not hurt you too much since you are already low income, but student income is counted more heavily on the FAFSA, so you want to keep your income down under $6000 annually or so if possible. </p>
