Not sure about Johns hopkins specifically but I am fairly certain that this is true for the university of California schools. Could mean that your source is trustworthy.

Edit: I looked on Reddit and apparently this is true for jhu

That is important to know since all of my B’s were my Freshman year. However, it really is brutal if you eliminate a really good Freshman year. Do you have the reddit link ? Thanks so much.

This is the post that I looked at. It is 3 years old so they could’ve changed their policy but who knows.

However, it’s just one person claiming this on Reddit so no clue as to the accuracy of this claim. Also some other websites I read claimed that they do in fact look at freshman grades but that they really don’t give much weight to the freshman grades when making a decision.

Thanks. They can still see the Freshman grades regardless. Since my schools have annual gpa’s, it is sort of a mute point. However, if jhu is creating your gpa score on a 1-4 scale without freshman grades, then that could be a worth while point for some applications

Anybody received an email this morning from JHU, a reminder about tomorrow decision timing and make sure student remember his/her login ID? I was just wondering if this is a good sign or pretty much nothing :)

My S24 had received email to change RD to ED2

I do not see any tab for connect or events - afraid it’s a reject. Do you see those tabs in the landing page? My landing page has no tabs.

Don’t worry rn, you prob just did not open the right link. If you want to go to the website just type JHU Admit Landing Page into google, although It hasn’t worked for anyone yet👍

Everyone can access the congrats page, but no one can connect with a student or attend an event on that same page when you scroll down, it require you to log in
