Johns Hopkins waitlist 2028

No response :skull::skull: probably because of the holiday

Update:

“Hi. We’re still reviewing the incoming class and will reach out to anyone if we have an update. We do not have a set date or a number of how many people or if there will be any admitted off the waitlist.” So not really anything too significant but it def seems like they’re still looking at the waitlist.

Hi -

Jumping in to say that I was admitted off the wait-list on the 9th, and turned it down, so they have taken a few people off.

Thanks for the update! If you’re willing to answer, what major did u apply as?

■■■ take them so long

Already graduating

Does anyone know when the waitlist closes? Tired of holding out hope, I’d rather just get rejected so that I can move on :sob:

Frrr :sob::sob: I have no idea tho, I don’t think it really “closes” until classes start tho unless they announce smth

Hi! I emailed them recently and it looks like the waitlist is still open.

“Thank you for writing. JHU is still in a holding pattern for the waitlist. We do not have any information on when an update will be sent.”

Its basically what they said last time but looks like theyre still looking at the waitlist?

Did everyone get the email for the extended summer waitlist?

I got it

Nope! I didn’t receive one

I just scrolled through the Co25 thread and it seems there wasn’t much luck with getting off (and the final rejection ended up coming in really late…), so I’m trying to keep my hopes low lol. Also in my portal it doesn’t say anything about me remaining on the extended waitlist while it said so before…

And to future applicants who might end up lurking this thread: I received my extended waitlist offer on July 2 at around 3 pm PST. Subject was “Summer Waitlist at Hopkins”

Below is what the email said:

Hi [name],

We are reaching out to evaluate your continued interest in remaining on the waitlist for the Johns Hopkins University Class of 2028.

Although we have currently met our enrollment target for next year, in the event that space becomes available, we may admit students from our extended summer waitlist. The admissions committee would like to offer you a place on this extended waitlist.

To remain on the waitlist, please complete the 2024 Summer Waitlist Reply Form by 11:59 p.m. EDT on Friday, July 5.

If we do not hear from you by the date noted above, we’ll assume you have chosen not to remain on the extended waitlist and have made other plans for the fall.

Thank you,

Office of Undergraduate Admissions
Johns Hopkins University

Exact same for me. I got it at the same time and everything (6 PM EST). I also did some research and I saw like one or two people say they got off of it in August right before classes were going to start, which is insane.

That’s actually wild. I remember my school counselors told us about how some kids already moved into their dorms but ended up getting off some waitlist. I wonder if they were referring to JHU :joy:

Seems wild to send it over the holiday like that where folks could miss it.
