I actually think Kate has really lightened up this season, and seems much, much happier.

Agreed. It’s time (long overdue) to put a fork in it (the show).

I eagerly await the day that the show dies . . . especially after a friend who views it shared that Kate has the kids show their “first poop” (in a potty chair) to the camera. Yes, there’s something every human longs to have available to the viewing public on DVD. Poor, exploited kids.

I also heard their dog went back to its breeder after both parents basically refused to take care of it. Color me unsurprised. It’s probably relieved to be out of there.

they made the right decision, imo, to remove him from the show…

I hope the show doesn’t end because, whatever difficulties it presents, having a single mom working out of the home full-time and trying to make ends meet is much harder. Although if Kate gets a show of her own, that would be fine.

Wonder what the premise of the “new” Kate show might be??? Reality? Informational? Talk? I can see her wanting to do a parenting type show - you know, one mom to another. Except IMO, I don’t think she would be the best role model and not sure others would think so either.

This show is over. I think it is actually a poor business decision on TLCs part. Their ratings are hovering just over a million. Many people tune into see how they are handling the separation. Now it;s just her, people will tune out even more.

Well the pilot was for a “View” type show with Paula Deen.

Since this statement was by TLC, I didn’t know if the show they were talking about was the same or different than this Kate-Paula thing.

Kate who feeds them hotdogs and pbjs on paper plates is going o have a Paula Deen type show? That is the best laugh of the day!

Two separate things. TLC is going to continue to run a show with the family called “Kate Plus 8” and the Paula Deen thing was just a pilot.

I do that too! (I guess I relate to Kate for a reason.)
It’s not a food show, it’s supposedly going to be a talk show with a family focus.

Not sure how true this is, but I’ve heard Jon may be interested in doing Dancing with the Stars next season (heaven help us). Maybe his attempt (a la Heather Mills) to recoup his post-divorce image.

Trust me I spent many yrs cutting up hot dogs and making mac in cheese out of a box. I thought because she is bringing out a cookbook, that this was the direction.

I read he is shopping a Divorced Dads reality show.

Kate did a stint on The View a week or so ago, guest-hosting for Elizabeth Hasselbeck. She did a decent job, and took the ribbing of Kathy Griffiths with grace and good humor. I think a view type show all about parenting might be interesting—not to mention incendiary;) I’m just not seeing how the pairing up with Paula Dean would work.

As for Jon and Kate, I wish they would seriously enter counseling with each making a real commitment to save their marriage and do what’s best for their family. I know, I know…that’s wishful thinking.

^Poetsheart, I think you chose an apt screenname for yourself. ;)

Wow, Jon is really out of hand. He now wants to end the show immediately. So how does Kate support the kids without a job? I guess that’s not Jon’s problem. Loser.

[Jon Gosselin Tries to End Kate Plus 8 - TV News, Jon Gosselin, Kate Gosselin : People.com](http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20309351,00.html)

Whoever put up the sign at the front gate of the Gosselin house spelled “penalty” and “Jonathan” wrong!!! His actions are getting more ridiculous every day.

To clarify my previous post, penalty was spelled “penelty” and Jonathan was spelled “Johnathan”.

TLC has announced the show is currently suspended, and they issued a statement that they are disappointed with Jon issuance of a trespass notice. The statement from TLC included a quote about his “erratic” recent behavior.
