June 14 2014 ACT Discussion

@dune297‌ nope, Houston :)

Arizona…

You receive an e-mail notification after your OFFICIAL score reports are delivered to you, not when the scores first come up, oddly enough.

@Jibmonster‌

This is only based off of my scores and how many I got wrong. I may have read it wrong

I got a 31 on english,
Usage/Mechanics 17
Rhetorical Skills 15

I’m also Arizona and haven’t received my scores :((

So it appears the Southwest has yet to receive scores?

I’m from Kentucky and have yet to receive my scores.

courtney, where do you live in az

@ctesiphon.
Ya no worries! The sub scores don’t directly add up to 36. A 17 and 15 in English is probably missing more like 6-8. The sub scores are quite confusing.

That makes sense. I think it’s only like that for the reading. Either way when I get my score report in a few weeks i’ll figure it out then, but by then I don’t think anyone would care : P

I’m from seattle and i still haven’t gotten my scores

I’m from a suburb near Chicago and i didn’t get mine yet either :c

No scores in Ohio

I am in Louisiana & was beginning to get worried. Glad to know that I’m not the only one who still hasn’t received my scores. Hopefully Friday!!! :-)

wait I’m from texas too. I didn’t recieve my scores!!

MA

Georgia - No scores yet

I am from Georgia and I got my scores the first day at around 8:30

This wait sucks

No scores in Kansas City (Kansas).

Now, here’s what I’m trying to determine: Is this a “new” thing with ACT - this “rolling” release of scores? Does anyone know? What in the world would be the logic behind such a train-wreck? And JUNE scores could be released as late as AUGUST?! Who’s the genius behind that game-plan? I simply do not understand what’s going on, or why scores cannot be released continuously until they are all posted, or why it could possibly take more than a few days to post all scores. Did MILLIONS of students take the ACT this June? This is just beyond comprehension. Doesn’t SAT release all scores same-day? I’m really trying to understand the underlying reason behind the delays. And yes, I need to call ACT directly (which I’m going to do today), but I wanted to rant about it here, too!

My friend (who is also in Texas) already got his scores.
Guess it really is random.
