June 2007 chemistry

Don’t feed the ■■■■■.

Iradeon, get some fresh air. Good job in AP Chemistry!!! :)

FWIW
http://images.google.com/images?um=1&tab=wi&client=firefox-a&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&q=CuSO4•5H2O

so i think we’re all in agreement about the color of CuSO4.5H2O, so let’s move on eh? What did you guys say for the one about the modern atom theory?

modern atom theory - atoms aren’t indestructible?

CuSO4•5H2O is blue, and I know because I worked with that compound so much for a lab for Chemistry Olympics.

hey iradeon, ur a dip**** -_-
watch when i own ur ass

yep im pretty sure we agreed on that 5 posts ago lol. anyway was anyone here retaking it? was it harder/easier than previous tests?? askfj i want my score NOW damnit it CB!

what was the neon gas one I think I got TTCE

I think I did too.

Sorry, but can you refresh my memory about that question please?

What was the neon question?

…please!!

oh and did you guys get a final K of …i think maybe 75 for a gas law problem?? and then there was another one, where I got the answer was 400/300 or maybe the opposite for another gas law…

yup!!!

good! i got some wrong on a practice test, so I was scared!! and the one that was like CxOy, what was the answer? And was it 1/2 mol oxygen reacts with it to form 1 mol of carbon dioxide, or vice versa?

Ugh, I can’t believe there were no electrolytic/galvanic questions. I prepared really hard for them, and ended up forgetting everything else.

I thought it was gonna be easy but from the way things are turning up I can’t expect more than high 600’s unless the curves on Chem are generally pretty generous.

Do atoms of the same family form similar compounds? (Because there are the same number of valence electrons?)

Statement 1 was like neon releases visible light… statement 2 was because photons are released when electrons return to lower energy levels. Or something like that. Someone else confirm?

C2O3 (it might be flipped, but it was those two numbers) and I don’t remember that other one (I must have a horrible memory…)

Ilovepi: Oh, I remember that now, and I put TTCE but I wasn’t sure at all.
