June 2008- Math Level 2

looks like i got all the ones i answered right! Thanks for that great compilation. 48/50 = me happy =)

the suspense is killing me… i wanna know for sure if i got that 50/50

too bad it wont tell me on my scores

What is omit 5 and 1-2 wrong? Possible to get an 800?

does anyone know for the bouncing one, was 4 B? because i put b…

Wow, thanks for the list. If those are correct, I feel a lot better about my score…

Yeah, 4 was B…I remember A was 3 and I originally bubbled that; then I realized I drew my diagram wrong.

Thanks for the list! I think I got 2 wrong, so omitting 4 and minus 2 would be an 800 if the curve is to 43! (which I think it will be because the test was harder than the other CB ones…)
yay!

yes!! 80% sure i’ll get an 800.hope i didnt bubble anything wrong. thanks jamesford!

its funny, i took it in hongkong, 12hours before you guys did and its the exact same test. did collegeboard copmletely forget about the cheating aspect?

Wait… wasnt it just None? Cuz even if you multiply the numbers by 5, it doesnt change the standard deviation…
for example if the numbers were 5, 5 and 5, and u multiply them by 5, then it’s gonna be 25,25,25. So the standard deviation remains 1. Arent I correct?

what was the question involving the adults catering service? i dont remember that

@PennDreamer:
if its 4, 8, and 10 then it would become 16, 64 and 100, that would be different.

what was the question : “26. 3 Trig functions: II and III only”?

32 is greater than or equal to -1.93 (value for y) use calculate minimum and you get an x-value equal to -1.93

wait…did the question ask you for the x-value or the y-value?

@adamonkey2 RE: Standard deviation question:

I was pretty sure it said consecutive numbers, not any positive numbers. But of course I’m probably wrong. Well that’s only -2 if I’m wrong on that :slight_smile:
But if it did say consecutive, the answer would be none, right?

holy! we have the answers from the whole test posted!!!

@icinnamon
if it’s consecutive, it’s still different.
for example the standard deviation of 5,6,7 is 1
but the standard deviation of 25,36,49 is 12.01
and btw, u don’t get -2, u get -1.25 , but then you probably know that

@ all of you who took Math Level II: Please don’t fret over not getting an 800 because, I made 800 with 91 percentile !!!

I’m pretty sure I got 2 wrong and I skipped 2. Is that still within the range of 800?

WOW you guys are AMAZING i love you!!!

skip 2 , -1. that’s an 800 right :wink: lol. actually i won’t keep my hopes way up. because that’s what i did for my regular SATs after reading all the answers on CC and i didn’t get a 2400 :[

whats a good score for ivy leagues?

800.

serious. it’s math lol
