June 2009 - Mathematics Level 2

It’s rare that CB wants such a complicated problem solving method. To say 4pi is to overthink the simple transformation they wanted, at least imo.

So are we sure that the tan(2x) problem was 4pi?

How does the absolute value change it?

I’m going to have to retake this one. :(

what raw score do u guys think u got?

On that note - would you recommend retaking a 780 or 790? I’m a perspective physics major, and don’t want a poor (sub 800) score to hurt me with admissions to schools like Cornell, U of Chicago, MIT, and Carleton.

what did u get on ure sat1 math?

^ It looks like 6 wrong and 2 omit for me = 41 :(

I’m in 10th grade, so I haven’t take the SAT yet… I would expect 750+ from practice tests, but I make tons of stupid mistakes :)

thats impressive taking it in 10th grade loll im in 11th
which 6 did u get wrong? i thought u wud have more right than me

I got an 800 in SAT1 math but do you think a score on this test below 700 would really really hurt me.

i think it depends on which school u wanna apply to

I got the geometric sequence, the painter, the x + y, and the -f(x), the temp, and another one (I forgot) wrong…

Everyone gets 800 on this test. And I know I didn’t, now I wanna cry…

I thought sequences were okay today. I hated the huge paragraph like problems!!! I went SO SLOW!!

Maybe I’m crazy but the idea of retaking a 780 or 790 just seems kind of obnoxious to me lol. I mean if you get an 800 that’s great but if you get a score in the high 700s I don’t think any school cares at all once it’s 750+.

Nobody has mention the one about the movies… what did you guys get? I guessed :)

which was the movie one?

im gonan start a compiled list of confirmed answrs
plz copy paste if u can add sum more confirmed answers

Temp: -24
row triangle: 201
exp regression: 24
x^2-y^2=72: -12
f(g(x))=x: 1/x
reflection problem: -f(-x)
f(x+3): e^x
pentagon prism: 15 edges
movie q: n= x/(.6d)

The one which the 40% discounts of movies you have already rented or something…
with like n = something…

There was another problem that asked which of these does not give a vertical asymptote for (2)/(3sin(X)+k). What did you guys put?

i got n= x/(.6d)

That is right matsui.
